Description

<jats:p>Two species of the anamorphic genus <jats:italic>Heteroconium</jats:italic> were discovered from tropical forests in southern China. <jats:italic>Heteroconium bannaense</jats:italic> sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on a specimen collected on dead stems of <jats:italic>Phragmites communis</jats:italic>. <jats:italic>Heteroconium arundicum</jats:italic> is newly recorded from China.</jats:p>
