<jats:p> Taming chaos by weak harmonic perturbations has been a hot topic in recent years. In this paper, the authors investigate a scenario for the mechanism of taming chaos via bifurcation theory, and assert that this phenomenon is caused by a slight shift of the saddle node bifurcation curves. </jats:p>
