Meredith Phillips, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of policy studies and sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is currently studying academic achievement and ethnic identity among middle school students, ethnic and socioeconomic differences in college success, and the extent of school inequality nationwide.
