抄録

Rapid HPLC method is presented to determine trace amounts of linear alkylbenzenesulfonates (LAS) in environmental water samples. An ODS mini-cartridge, equipped on sampling loop line of 6-way switching valve, was used for concentrating LAS in water samples. A 10 ml of water sample was filtrated with a membrane filter disk(Gelman HPLC Disk 25CR), and LAS adsorbed on the disk was washed with two successive 2 ml-portions of methanol. The combined solution of the filtrate and washings, to which 0.5 ml volume of 0.25 M sodium borate buffer (pH 9) was added, was made up to 15 ml with methanol. An aliquot(0.55 ml) of the sample solution was injected into the cartridge. The LAS trapped was purified with 0.5 ml of 50% methanol, and introduced into a sparation column by passing the mobile phase through the cartridge. LC conditions were as follows : separation column, Develosil ODS (5 μm, 4 mm × 20 cm) ; mobile phase, 0.05 M sodium perchlorate-acetonitrile(2 : 3, v/v);detector, fluorescence detector(excitation wavelength 225 nm, emission wavelength 290 nm). LAS in the water samples were identified on the basis of retention times and determined by peak height method. Recoveries of LAS from water samples were 9096% and relative standard deviation were 1.63.6%. The detection limit of LAS by the proposed method was 10 ng. Therefore, limit of determination was 0.003 mg/l, when 5 ml of the sample solution was injected.
