Description

Determination of chlorpromazine, noradrenaline, vitamin K3 and mitomycin C was made by differential pulse voltammetry using a rotating glassy carbon disk electrode. Pretreatment of glassy carbon was made by anodic oxidation in 0.5 mol dm-3 phosphate solution at 1.6 Vvs Ag/AgCl for 2 min. Differential pulse voltammograms of the drugs were obtained at the rotation rate of 2500 rpm, pulse interval, 2 s, pulse modulation, 50 mV, and scan rate, 5 mV s-1. Plots of peak height vs. drug concentration were linear over the concentration range 5×10-8 10-5×7 mol dm-3 for chlorpromazine and noradrenaline, and 5×10-9 10-7 mol dm-3 for vitamin K3 and mitomycin C within the relative standard deviation of 4%.
