Description

A convenient, rapid and highly reproducible method has been established for the microanalysis of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen in air-sensitive organometallic compounds. By using a combination of a gloved box technique and an aluminium pan for the sampling, samples make no contact with air or water. Furthermore, samples of the desired weight are easily available before searing up the aluminum pan. The analytical data obtained for carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen in these air-sensitive compounds are in good agreement with the corresponding theoretical values.
