抄録

The binding properties of metal cations (Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Zn2+ and Cd2+) with 2-[(2-amino-5-methylphenoxy)methyl]-6-methoxy-8-aminoquinoline-N, N, N'N'-tetraacetic acid (Quin II) were examined using photometric or fluorometric techniques. The apparent binding constants (Kapp) were determined at pH 6.60 in the presence of 0.1 M KCl at 25°C. log Kapp of the above metal cations were 2.8, 7.0, 4.8, 5.0, 9.4, 9.6, 9.7, 10.3 and 10.4, respectively. Quin II-Mn2+ complex did not show fluorescence, as was the case for the complexes of Fe2+ or Co2+.
