Abstract
Several theories such as cavitation theory or shock wave theory concerning the wet-trapping have been already proposed, but they can not be explained well the wet-trapping. So the authors tried to explain the wet-trapping by the dynamic viscoelasticity, and the following consequences were obtained.
1) Dynamic viscoelasticity has not always a mutual relation with the kind of pigments and resins as well as tack value.
2) The value of dynamic viscoelasticity measured in the region from 102-1 to 103sec-1 have a interrelation with the wet-trapping. Good wet-trapping occurs only when each successive ink has a lower dynamic viscoelasticity than the one immediately preceding it.
3) The above mentioned relations hold for every printing materials.
