Description
apan has been recognized as an advanced country of Universal Design(UD). Especially Japanese UD products in automobile, home electronics and house equipments have been well- known and enjoyed good reputations in the world. UD packages of more near-at-hand foods and daily commodities are progressively advancing recently and we can see some UD-considered packages even at the supermarkets and the convenience stores. The original functions of packages themselves are to protect products, to inform contents information and to boost it's usability. The evolutions of packaging technologies have allowed mass distributions and self-service merchandising methods. On the top of that the market requires packages more easy to use and understand endlessly. High value added packages by using UD which can improve its amenity and comfort are now requested and can reach people's sensitivity and emotion. Good UD packages from user's point of view will be able to improve not only its product values but also brand and company images.
