Abstract
A number of adducts were prepared from the reaction of adamantanecarbonyl chloride (I) with aminoalcohols or aminoacids, and screened for anti-rust properties and antimicrobial activity in spent fluids of water-based cutting fluids. Aqueous solutions ofN- (1-adamantanecarbonyl) -O- (1-adamantanecarbonyl) mono-ethanolamine (III) showed good antirust and antimicrobial properties for water-based cutting fluids.
