Abstract
Determination procedure for concentration of 226Ra and 228Ra in seawaters was developed. The 226Ra in seawaters was collected in-situ on Mn-impregnated acrylic fiber which was packed into a plastic column and was determined by y-ray spectrometry in the laboratory. Concentration of 228Ra which is low in seawaters was obtained by the 226Ra concentration and the 228Ra/226Ra activity ratio observed simultaneously with the Mn-impregnated acrylic fiber by placing in the seawater for a few days at the identical sampling point for 226Ra.
