Abstract

From April 2014, the National Institute of Japanese Literature (NIJL) start a large-scale project which will last for 10 years. Project name is "Project to Build an International Collaborative Researchers' Network on Pre-modern Japanese Books". The creation of an image database for Japanese classical books will be added in the project content, which will be used for the international collaborative research. We would like to continue our efforts towards the development of more aggressive collaborative research. The intention is to venture into research that fuses with different fields in the future. In this paper, we describe this project will be conducted through the operation we have continuously researched and collected Pre-modern Japanese Books, and base on the bibliographic data of them that has been building up until now. We would like to introduce the future prospect.
