抄録

Infrared active lattice modes of solid N2O were precisely measured in temperature range from 1.8 to 130 K. Remarkable temperature dependence of the absorption bandwidths was obtained and explained by means of the perturbation theory of the anharmonic crystal. The results suggest ways in which the lattice vibration energy is dissipated. No information related to suggestion of the dipole ordering was found by the spectroscopic studies.
