抄録
In view of the renewed interest in using it as the theoretical model for newly discovered high-Tc oxide superconductors, the excitonic mechanism, i.e., the attraction between metallic electrons via virtual electron-hole pair excitations, is reformulated within the framework of RPA and in a form free from the criticism raised by Inkson and Anderson against the excitonic attraction.
