Abstract
Surprisal analysis is applied to photoreaction. The statistical model of Hauser-Feshbach is extended to analyze the 63,65Cu(γ, p0) reactions. A unified understanding of the measured cross sections in the giant resonance energy region, which has yet to be achieved, is attempted.
