Starting from the initial condition<BR>(Remark: Graphics omitted.)<BR>we study numerically and analytically the interaction of a KdV soliton with the dispersive wave train. We derive dynamical equations for the soliton part as well as for the non-soliton contribution. These equations can be further reduced to a set of interacting KdV equations. Numerical computations are performed to describe the mutual interaction.
