抄録

Emission and excitation spectra of cubic Zn(S : Se) : Mn phosphors containing various Mn contents were prepared. An emission band peculiar to Mn2+ ion is observed also on the phosphors with large proportion of ZnSe. Wellknown excitation bands observed with ZnS : Mn phosphor are not disturbed at all up to about 60 mol % of ZnSe, although they are masked one after another with long tail of fundamental absorption as the proportion of ZnSe increases. For ZnSe : Mn a distinct excitation band which can be attributed to 6A14T1(G) transition is found near 530 mμ. These results are consistent with the previous conclusion obtained for the case of ZnS.
