Abstract
In the (d, α) reaction it is recognized experimentally and theoretically the 2I+1 line does not pass through the origin, where I is the spin of the final nucleus. The considerations of this fact have been extended to the general case. In the result, the 2I+1 line does not pass through the origin if I≥f, where f is the spin of the emitted particle. Examples of the application of this refined statement are discussed.
