A relation between the number of intra-molecular linkages created in amorphous polymers by cross-linking reaction and the second moment of molecular size distribution is obtained. It is shown by comparing the relation with the results of Monte Carlo calculation that the theory gives a good estimation of the number of intra-molecular linkages, which is negligible up to the point.
