Abstract
Abnormal IgG2 molecule, not reacted by anti-γCH2 domain antibody were found in a patient with typical multiple myeloma. The IgG molecules were found to have a molecular weight of 94, 000 and 99, 000 daltons and were composed of one γ2 chain of about 44, 000 daltons and two light chains of 28, 000 daltons. We suggest that the γCH2 domain of the patient's M-protein was defected, since the molecular weight for heavy chain of IgG was about 6, 000 daltons smaller than that of the heavy chain from normal IgG, and the patient's M-protein was not reacted by anti-γCH2 domain antibody.
