Abstract

Shinshu University has developed SOAR (Shinshu University Online System of General Academic Resources) intending to make use of an institutional repository as a means of improving the visibility of the researchers and the institution. The system aims to improve researchers' and an institution's visibility by linking an institutional repository, a researcher directory, electronic journals and Web of Science so that audiences can get much information with simple operations. It also aims to enable researchers to unify data management and reduce their load. We describe our approaches and future plan.
