Abstract

Web archives have been built to preserve web sites globally, with the purpose of preserving cultural artifacts and ensuring the access to information resources. Web archiving requires technologies including preservation of those pages which have been removed from the Web and maintaining access to information for generations to come. This paper gives an overview of archiving technologies and the issues to be solved.
