Abstract

Bunka Women's University Library has cydopaedically collected materials concerning about costume and its related subjects since 1950. The library fulfills its function as educational facility as well as a special library of costume and fashion, so that students and scholars from other universities, company employees or graduates make good use of the library. I describe about the collection development of Western costume materials including rare books and its bibliographies. I introduce foreign bibliographies of costume and mode, too.
