Description
The author anticipates the change in society brought about by search engines in the next decades. Advances in human interface and information terminals will dramatically increase the convenience of search engines and they will strongly support human memory and decision making. Retrieval accuracy can be enhanced by keeping track of huge amounts of user behavior data. On the other hand, there is a risk that the users may incline to be passive and easily satisfied with biased and typological information.
