Description

Medical Library of the Japan Medical Association is one of libraries that had the most requests for copying via Inter-Library Loan system of National Institute of Informatics (NACSIS-ILL). The result of collecting requests for copying from 2007 to 2010 showed how the spread of the Internet had affected our library users. There has been shown the decrease in the number of asking copies seemingly owing to using documents on the Internet, such as documents obtained by Open access. On the other hand, the number of requesting documents, which are not digitized or open-accessed, tends to be increasing. It will be thought more important to find out in copy services and some requests via ILL and offer, documents which users find difficult to get for themselves.
