Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out that natural textile fibers have effect on ammonia deodorization, and there are utilizations for clothes and bedclothes to be cared. In this paper, we report on ammonia deodorization with fabrics. It appears that wool fabric and silk fabric have effect on ammonia deodorization. And, wool fabric can be used repeatedly by washing in acetic acid. However, vegetable fiber and chemical fiber have little effect on ammonia deodorization. In an attempt to improve ammonia deodorization of cotton fabrics, natural materials were applied to cotton fabrics. The result showed that cotton fabrics treated with Japanese apricot, persimmon tannin and citric acid have effect on ammonia deodorization.
