One of the goals of the latest project called DMA-UPD is urban conservation and actually they focus on the Qasr Al Hajjaj street to improve its historic façade. This paper considers the actual situations of the façade in order to clarify how should be the restoration typed façade improvement based on the historical authenticity or the Islamic spatial composition. Through the analysis on the land use plan and façade elevation plan, it is turned out that the quarter is a historic residential area and some traditional materials suitable for its restoration are still alive. In conclusion, a modest improvement policy is suggested for this calm quarter.
