Description
This paper discusses the establishment of green infrastructure in the city of the middle Tama River watershed from viewpoint of the former agricultural infrastructure. The Former network of agricultural waterway as the agricultural infrastructure and "koaza", former division of city district, as environmental unit of the agricultural society were used for the spatial analysis. The total length of former waterway of Komae city is 46,606m. Current facilities of them are road (50%) and Openspaces(11%). The features of koaza as the environmental unit were clarified by spatial analysis of the composition of landform, former landuse and network of waterway. The green network based on the waterway networks found in the target area shows the importance of the spatial composition of the base of agricultural society and the necessity of the designation of the production green as the core area of the green infrastructure.
