Abstract
We have a lot of traffic accidents in residential area. In Japan, we carry out traffic calming projects and tried to install in many areas. But the traffic calmed areas are limited and not enough to make hall cities safer. Now we have to try another way to make cities safer -Speed control. In the questionnaire in Okayama City, driver think positively of the speed control, but how to decide the speed limits are the existing problems. In this study, we tried to treat the problems, and achieved the way to decide the speed limits from a point of the street environment.
