Abstract

This paper aims on evaluating existing high and medium rise apartment houses and understanding those characteristics at central area in local city, by the research on Nagaoka City. As a result, after dividing the households in 3 types for both owned and rented houses, we clarify the resident image such as household composition, occupancy reason and unit size for each life stage. In addition, we examine the evaluation of residents on housing and environment and clarify that each household typology is highly satisfied except unit size, facility and parking space. And we clarify the relationship between material characteristics and residence consciousness.
