Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate environmental economic value of forest on slope using ASTER image which is one of the satellite remote sensing data for landscape and urban planning. For this purpose, hedonic approach is employed. This study applies 7 wards in the south western area of Tokyo. The results were as follows. 1) The external economic effect of forest on slope less than the threshold value of 14 degrees was positive to land price and statistically significant at the 5% level in both linear and semi-log. 2) The external economic effect of forest of the threshold value of 2 degrees was the most fit to land price in both linear and semi-log.
