Abstract

This paper points out which contents of the German Landscape Plan are specific to the German Landscape Plan in comparison to the Japanese Green Master Plan Further, it aims to clarify what function is performed by these contents. As a result, the following three functions can be identified: 1) Description of the goals attributed to each type of environmental element; 2) Testing critically to which extent the Landscape Plan takes into account the demands of environmental elements based on the analyses and purposes created in the Landscape Plan itself; 3) Stating the demands of the environmental elements that should be taken into consideration when the Land Use Plan is developed.
