Description

Unidirectional reinforced CFRP, whose matrix was polyfurfural resin (furan resin), were prepared with different two types of carbon fibers. Thermal expansion behaviours of the CFRPs during carbonization process were examined precisely.<BR>It was assumed that the matrix precursor resin was deformed during carbonization process by the stress which was caused from the thermal expansion or shrinkage difference between the matrix and the fiber, and then the structure of the matrix after carbonization might change in the observation of thermo mechanical property and raman spectrum.
