Description

The University of Yamanashi Library has enacted three new policies since incorporation occurred after integration of the university. First, materials in the university library are to be concentrated and administrated centrally. Second, the structure of the materials cost distribution is to be changed in accordance with corporate principles. Third, the cost of electronic journals will henceforth be designated as an overhead cost. These new policies have been enacted quickly after integration because the incorporation of the university accelerated developments that had already been evident over a long period of time. These reforms will allow the two libraries to be integrated in the true sense the word.
