Abstract
In the Abukuma Plateau, Rb-Sr ages for the biotites of the granodiorites and biotite schist range from 90 m. y. to 160 m. y., increasing generally from the east to the west. K-Ar whole rock ages range from 70 m. y. to 110 m. y., generally decreasing from the east to the west on the contrary to the Rb-Sr ages. The only age obtained from the metamorphic rock is the same as that of the granodiorites around it. The initial (^<87>Sr/^<86>Sr)_0 ratios for the granodiorites are low (0.706±0.002), and those of the biotite schists are 0.712 and 0.706.
