説明
The granitic rocks in the Suzuka region form the backbone of the Suzuka Mountain Range. This complex body consists of the following rock-types; biotite-granite (the Suzuka granite), porphyritic biotite-granite, hornblende-biotitegranite, granodiorite (the Nonobori type) and hypersthene-bearing granodiorite as acidic group, and hornblendegabbro and diorite as basic group. The basic group is always included in the former. The Suzuka granite forms a cupola along the mountain range. It suggests that the Suzuka granite was intruded conformably with the folding structure of the Palaeozoic formations. The Suzuka granite is petrographically distinguishable from the Nonobori granodiorite and from the hornblende-biotite-granite. The former is similar to the fine-granodiorite in the Kasagi district, and the latter, including the hornblende-gabbro, is intimately associated with biotite gneiss of the Ryoke metamorphic belt. According to the above mentioned facts, the northern boundary of the Ryoke metamorphic belt in the Suzuka region is located to be between the hornblende-biotite-granite, the Nonobori granodiorite and the Suzuka granite. From field-evidences and petrographical investigations, the diorite, associated with the hornblende-biotite-gabbro, is not a granitization-product by the Suzuka granite, but is probably a product of the Ryoke metamorphism.
