Description
At present, gravity concentration is the main method to separate chromite from the other minerals. But this method is not effective to relatively fine particles. Since chromite ores are distributed at limited areas, it is needed to recover these particles or to develop new technologies for the utilization of lowergrade ores which are widely distributed in the world.<BR>A lot of studies upon them have been made for many years, which are to apply various kinds of concentration methods such as gravity, heavy media, magnetic, electrostatic, and flotation to these ores. Although flotation is thought to be most effective, there still remain some problems. Further studies are anticipated.
