The “Information Visualizing Map” (IVMap) developed by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation is an information retrieval system that is capable of classifying documents based on their meanings, show classes utilizing a two-dimensional map and provide effective searches. This paper discusses IVMap functions including the keyword distribution view function and “Zoom” function. As tangible examples, search tasks for the chemotherapy of cancers and for “raloxifene, ” which is a medicine for osteoporosis, are described.
