最近, 培養表皮細胞を用いた研究により, アクチンがデスモゾーム形成に重要な役割を担つている可能性が示唆されてきている。今回, それらの実験結果を総括して述べた。また種々の皮膚疾患の病巣部表皮におけるアクチンの分布異常の報告も蓄積されてきた。それら皮膚疾患の病巣部表皮においてもアクチンの異常がデスモゾームの異常に何らかの役割を担つている可能性を示した。
