Abstract

A 67-year-old man visited our hospital with a chief complaint of pigment nodules on the buttocks. He had no family history of any kinds of neural tumors. On physical examination, there were multiple slightly elevated rice grain-sized oval pigment nodules on the buttocks. Histologically, small tumors composed of Antoni type A tissue were present in the upper layer of the dermis. There were no other neural tumors involving vestibular schwannomas by MRI examination.Differential diagnosis of schwannomatosis and neurofibromatosis type 2 is discussed.
