Abstract

The milling power and milling energy during abrasive milling were measured under five rotor revolutions (800, 1, 000, 1, 200, 1, 400, 1, 600rpm), by use of a batch type abrasive milling machine. Results indicated that the milling power decreased with milling time. In this paper, the milling power and milling energy with milling time were modeled using the observed data as follows;
Abrasive milling power model;
P=a/1+b⋅exp(k2t)
Abrasive milling energy model;
E=1/k1ln[1+b/1+b⋅exp(k2t)]+k2/k1⋅t
