Abstract
Objective: This study was performed to clarify the relation between the desire to the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) and actual ED. Methods: Of the 1005 men (40 to 69years old) who underwent general health examination between January and March in 2003,658 subjects completed the questionnaires. The questionnaire for ED was used the International Index of Erectile Function,5-item version (IIEF5). Results: The degree of mild to severe ED was so high that subjects strongly wished the use of ED medicine. Conclusions: It was thought that adopting the question about ED treatment into the questionnaire of a general health examination led to the improvement in QOL of the examinee.
