説明

Infrared spectrophotometric method by total reflection was applied to the determination of ethanol in commercial alcoholic beverages. For the samples with lower solid extract, their ethanol contents were determined directly by 1040cm-1 absorbance as the key band using a water-ethanol calibration line by the base line method.<BR>For those with higher solid content, the direct determination of ethanol was done by the aid of the proper corrections given on the calibration line for solid extract in the samples.
