In order to avoid the usual difficulties such as the elaborate calculations or the use of diagrams which are encountered in the quantitative analysis by means of the ion selective electrodes, a linear ionic concentration meter has been built which utilized the anti-log conversion function of ion selective electrode. The meter possesses two abilities, one, arbitrary setting of Nernst slope and the other, arbitrary setting of reference point in concentration scale. These two functions are called as Slope and Shifter, respectively.<BR>In the system of AgI-I, good linear relation was obtained over a hundred times range of concentration. Another application of the meter to the combined procedure of Gran's plots and standard addition method also showed good results.<BR>The process is appropriate for the combined method and provides an extremely simple procedure. Discussion is given about the relative errors due to the setting errors of both the Slope and Shifter.
