<p>Rationally designed artificial polysaccharides have interesting functions that natural polysaccharides lack. Recently, we found that β-cyclodextrin–grafted chitosan formed supramolecular aggregates that showed interesting functions, leading to pharmaceutical applications such as the enhancement of intentional absorption of insulin and cholesterol efflux from cells. Here we introduce our works concerning cyclodextrin-grafted chitosan for pharmaceutical application.</p>
