Abstract

<p>The uplift pressure acting on the concrete gravity dams is important load affecting on the structural stability of dams. The effect of drainage hole on reducing uplift pressure is considered from theoretical viewpoints. Additional consideration on the structure design of concrete gravity dams is proposed.</p>
