Abstract

There are many laws and systems being put into place for the establishment of a recycling-based society in Japan. In this paper, a part of the Law on Promoting Green Purchasing, the Eco-mark, and the local government authorization system for recycled materials have been inspected. Specifically, results of investigations on quality and environmental safety evaluations using authorized systems for recycled materials are shown. Also introduced is a case study on a recycled filler material known as Ferosilt, containing chromium, which is recently being implemented after recovery from construction sites.
