Abstract
The model which includes an infiltration curve is one of the hydrologic models for analyzing the water balance, discharge and soil moisture, etc. The original model has been successfully applied to the long-term runoff analysis in experimental catchments. The main purpose of this study is to develop a modified model by improving the infiltration sub-model, and to check the performance of modified and original model especially on the storm runoff. The simulations were verified by comparing the results with observed discharge data of the catchments. As a result, it was concluded that the modified model predicted more accurate discharge in storm events, especially peak discharge than the original one and the model was able to represent the physical processes more reasonably.
