Description
Results of a theoretical study to determine the effect of ice-covered elements on the pattern and impedance characteristics of a 5-element YAGI-UDA antenna are given. We rigorously calculated the characteristics of the YAGI-UDA antenna using the Moment Method proposed by Dr.Richmond. Practical design guidelines to minimize the deleterious effect of the ice are proposed.
