Abstract

In companies or organizations much information is being generated day after day as records. Most of it is decided for its preservation period according to the legal preservation periods or document management rules. From the viewpoint of record management that information needs to be studied regarding its recording methods considering not only usefulness under the current environment but also future use. Inside Japan we have found necessity of record management hiking as seen in converting ISO 15489 to JIS equivalent. We have been facing situation where accountability is highly required to sustain companies or organizations. The author studies recording methods which lessen risk of digital data reflecting active use and permanent preservation of information in it.
